Hulu app gets ‘tidal wave’ of new users from Facebook, Twitter, and Twitter competitor

Hulu’s social media apps now boast a large audience, according to new data from Google.

Hulu’s mobile app, which is built on Facebook’s Instagram platform, was downloaded on 1.5 million devices worldwide in the first half of the year, according the company.

Twitter’s mobile application was downloaded almost twice as much as Hulu’s mobile apps in the same period.

Hudson, a company that sells mobile apps for various consumer devices, reported its mobile app usage reached over 300 million units in the second half of 2016.
